The Colonial Hotel is named after the beautiful architectural style of the building. The building was originally built in this style and has a square or rectangle shape. The Colonial-style buildings traditionally have two to three stories with similar, traditional room layouts. The Colonial Hotel is maintaining the architectural integrity of the building while modernizing the interior & exterior layout. The Colonial Hotel holds to this type of design with pillars all around the property and brick detailing throughout. This design has been at The Colonial Hotel since 1868, which is why it creates the perfect name.
With exciting news, we are finished furnishing some of our rooms. Each room has something unique, from added features to simple design differences. When staying at The Colonial Hotel each stay will be uniquely different from the last creating a new experience for each visit.
While walking around the courtyard, you will discover key differences from each building that creates a beautiful, crisp look. We have placed our logo throughout the outside of each building to create a unison style that blends in. We have used bright bold colours to show off the new elegant addition to Grand Bend. We created a beautiful garden featuring a Japanese maple tree for our guests to be able to sit and relax with their friends and family.
